Pat Mayse Lake is located in the Red River Basin in Lamar County, Texas, just 13 miles north of Paris. Pat Mayse Lake offers 6,000 acres of surface water for sporting activities. Fishing and hunting are open to the public on the Corps of Engineers Lake, and there are convenient ramp facilities for pleasure boating and skiing on all sides of the lake.
Camping sites with electrical hookups, water, restrooms, and showers are available. In addition to Corp of Engineers-managed facilities, Camp Kiwanis features individual and group camping facilities, pavilions, a boat ramp, sand volleyball, horseshoe pits, and other games.

Camp Kiwanis
Camp Kiwanis on Pat Mayse Lake, Inc. was created in 1989 when the Paris Kiwanis Club was granted permission to reopen Forest Point by the U,S. Army Corps of Engineers. Forest Point was a 70 acre camp area that had been abandoned by the Corps since the early 70’s.
Paris Kiwanis Club set up Camp Kiwanis on Pat Mayse Lake as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization with the mission of transforming this deteriorated location into a safe camp atmosphere for social, educational, recreational, and cultural development of youth organizations from our community and surrounding area. Family reunions, church groups, youth groups, businesses and general public currently use Camp Kiwanis.
Loop A: 9 campsites, air conditioned and heated restroom/showers, pavilion (50’X75′), 10 picnic tables, boat ramp, swimming, horseshoes, volleyball, playground.
Loop B: 8 campsites, pavilion (30’X40′), 6 picnic tables, air conditioned and heated restroom/showers
Loop C: 6 campsites
